This month long solo adventure through Antalya Turkey is one for the books.

Antalya is full of views that took my breath away! I stayed close to the water and bathed in the salty Mediterranean Sea as often as I could.

Every day I walked + climbed at least 10 miles. The salty water provided healing for my achy muscles and peace for my running thoughts.

Turkey is rich with nutritious and locally grown food.
I opted in for tons of fruits and vegetables, and ate fish or sushi every other day. These foods helped keep my body + mind healthy and full of energy.
My journey through Turkey was a confidence quest. I threw myself into a completely unfamiliar place without a plan. I just knew that I wanted to grow with the help of an uncomfortable situation.
I felt insecure my first few days as I didn’t know the culture or the language. I didn’t know my way around, and it felt scary not having control. I felt like a baby opening its eyes for the first time in a brand new world. I didn't know how to talk their talk or walk their walk.
I forced myself to go outside every day for 30 days and explore new places, restaurants and meet different people.
This gave me great strength and security- after a while I felt silly for being so timid.
Through this adventure I gained the confidence to fearlessly try new things, knowing the reward that comes at the end of the journey will overpower any insecurities I may have.
Even though I came alone, I never felt lonely. I met so many incredible people whom I will cherish in my heart and remember for eternity. I saw so many breathtaking places and reveled in the magic of nature.
The truth is we all feel insecure from time to time. We all seek control over our feelings, and we all want to feel confident enough to lead a life of adventure.

Tomorrow when you get out of bed- try something new.
You’ll be surprised at how much of a pleasant transformation it will make in your life.
