Something about experiencing a massive ancient city in ruins humbles your human existence. It gently whispers " no matter how rich, poor, happy, sad, loving, lonely, and celebrated you are, some day it will all come to an end".
From what I could observe, the Roman people had a very entertaining life. The city had a lively market, where the citizens would buy goods. Remains of bath houses are present, with underground pipes leading to wells-where the citizens would bathe. There is evidence of beautifully encrusted art into stone as well as a stadium where one can imagine was filled with sporting events back in the day.
There is also a gorgeous amphitheater that sits on the outskirts of town, showing a breathtaking view of the entire city.
Well preserved writings on stones are also present throughout the remains of the city.
