I Crave an Extraordinary Life.


Last night I organized my schedule and wrote down everything I needed to do today. I told myself I have to do these things if I wanted to reach my goals for the month. I was so excited to wake up and start checking things off my list.


I woke up and noticed it was raining outside. The first thing on my list was to take a nature walk. I told myself I can lay in bed until the weather calms down, then I'll do more.


Two hours passed and I was still laying in bed, scrolling through my phone.


I started feeling agitated and hungry, so I made breakfast while listening to an episode of Friends in the background. One episode turned into five, and I found myself glued to the screen once again.


What was supposed to be a productive morning, turned into a frustrating realization that it was noon and I only checked off one thing from my list-


have a healthy breakfast.


I know what my goals are- I know how easy it is to get caught up in technology, and yet it still feels hard to focus when things like bad weather and lack of motivation affect my mornings.


I started thinking of ways to get myself back into the groove.


I put my phone away

made myself some tea

filled a water bottle to the brim

set an alarm for 30 minutes

and

placed headphones into my ears


I stretched and then worked out in my room until the alarm told me it was time to stop.


I felt an immense energy boost- exactly what I needed for a productive rest of the day.


The reality is..


It's hard staying disciplined, not everyone will do it.


It's not easy accomplishing our goals and reaching our prime potential.


That's why everyone doesn't live the life they dream of.


But you're not everyone. You're you. You crave that extraordinary lifestyle filled with adventure, and meaningful connection to yourself and others around you. You know your heart isn't fulfilled unless you are living your best life, and you know that your best life is only a few disciplined steps away.


Sometimes, all we need is a little push from the right person.


Guidance toward the right direction.


It's ok to have slow mornings, but then you have to get up and re-focus on those goals.


Because those goals will help you create the beautiful life you are dreaming of.


Don't sell yourself short all because of a slow morning, and don't let the screen take over precious time you could be using to work toward that extraordinary life.
